Inner beauty…

What is inner beauty? Is it kindness? Compassion? Generosity?

And why is it when we refer to inner beauty, it seems to be of less value than outer beauty? Is inner beauty outer ugly?

We say, “she is beautiful…on the inside,” implying that she is not very attractive. We must point out if said person is also beautiful on the outside listing the outer beauty first. “She is beautiful on the outside and the inside,” we say. Why can’t we just say she, he, or they are a beautiful person without assuming anything about their appearance?

Sadly, in this world we are judged, categorized, embraced, ignored, feared, given privilege, or denied opportunity, based on what we look like.

Judgments and assumptions are made on our character, education level, financial status, our basic quality of life just by looking at us.

The more attractive we are the more likelihood that we will be accepted as a friend, for a job, as a date, allowed in a club, or as any kind of a celebrity.

We will be given bigger tips, freebies, invites, and job promotions.

Physically attractive people are the ones chosen to represent a company, a business, or a school, because of what your physical beauty represents: success, happiness, fortune, or good luck.

True Beauty Is Immortal

Inner beauty usually refers to the personality of a person and outer beauty refers to the looks of a person.

A person can lose their pretty status for a multitude of reasons like age or illness. True beauty, on the other hand, can never be lost because it’s who you are.

Pretty is of the world. True beauty is immortal.

Placing your value in what you look like means you’re gambling with your well-being.

Pretty is pretty. Beautiful is diverse, interesting, fabulous, colorful, and different.

“I am saddened by how people treat one another and how we are so shut off from one another and how we judge one another, when the truth is, we are all one connected thing. We are all from the same exact molecules.”
