I don’t want to say…

New Years Resolution so I’ll say finding and being the best version of yourself going into the new year.

You know who that person is. You feel it instinctively. There’s no denying that dynamic, energetic, driven, individual that is waiting to take center stage.

However, only one person can stand in the spotlight at a time. That means that for the best version of you to take the lead, you must get out of the way.

You’ll Get There

Don’t worry about other people getting offended or hurt by this new you. If you stay on course, they’ll abandon you anyway.

Remember that movie, Bruce Almighty with Jim Carrey? The scene where he is driving down a narrow street and every car gets out of his way?

That’ll happen to you if you are on the right route. If it doesn’t, take the next detour.

You’ll get there.

One Thing Left to Do

I’m going to keep this post short and sweet because there is only one thing to do.

And that is…drum roll please…do.

Don’t sit around going over all the what ifs. Success or failure. Crash and burn or being shot into the sky. Being hated or being loved.

The fact that you are doing it, whatever it is, is success. When you are in that space of doing it, you are in the sky, weightless and full of joy. Who cares if anyone hates you. You love you.

And if you’re not there yet? Wake up! Open your eyes. Now’s the time. Do it now. While you are imagining what it will be like to be there, head on over there in the meantime.

Seeing and feeling this new you are great, but don’t forget that action is how things get done.

Now go.

Do.

“Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it.”

Henry David Thoreau
